An audio-visual work and dialogue between nature, animals, light and darkness. This exhibition explores northern Sweden’s eight seasons and the reindeer’s journey through its landscapes, featuring over 100 ethereal watercolors by Frida Stensmar, set to music and storytelling by me.

SYSTER
BJÖRK

syster björk is a Swedish pop duo blending personal and political themes with shimmering synths and delay-soaked guitars. The Umeå-based siblings Francesca and Lee debuted in 2015 with the double single GRÅZONER / fåglar. Since then, they’ve played festivals and venues across Sweden and released several singles and the EP RIEN de RIEN to strong reception. After years of exploring their shared sound, the duo released ‘Send them to your lovers’ in 2023— their first EP in English.

NORDIC
REMIX

Nordic Remix is a collaborative project initiated by me, uniting Nordic creatives to reflect on blended identities through shared storytelling and music.
In December 2021, we gathered in Sisimiut, Kalaallit Nunaat (Greenland), and together with the festival Arctic Sounds we created new songs that combine diverse traditions into a collective sound.

INDONESIA TOUR

Together with the musicians Cecilia Moore, Maria Dahlin and Olimpia Dynarek, accompanied by Spoken Word Artist Sacha Verheij and Videographer Joardi Meyer, I went to Java, Indonesia for a collaborative tour. During the trip we met with Indonesian artists from multiple disciplines to blend our expressions, create new art and to perform together. It was an experience we all learned a lot from as we exchanged stories, expressions and got to know one another during an intense 14 days traveling through Java.

AMPLIFY IN ACTION

AMPLIFY IN ACTION was a Europe Day event held at the Bozar in Brussels in 2022. It brought together artists, cultural workers, activists and policymakers to amplify underrepresented voices and highlight the role of culture in shaping Europe’s future.

Europe day is a day that usually celebrates peace and unity in Europe, which this year due to Putin’s war on Ukraine is at stake.

I was invited to perform and to do create a song based on the discussed topics which resulted in the song ‘8 verses for Europe’.

ARCTIC
ASSEMBLY

In April 2022, 14 songwriters from Denmark, Faroe Islands, Iceland, Sweden and Greenland traveled to Greenland to collaboratively create and record new music. Working within a tight timeframe and constantly shifting ensembles, we developed and recorded songs—resulting in a series of live concerts and a collective release.

THE INDONESIAN DIALOGUES

A multidisciplinary performance in which post-colonial descendants from The Netherlands, Switzerland and Indonesia explore colonial history and its ongoing influence.

Through dialogue with Indonesian experts, the project examines cultural and personal biases, questions of voice and representation and invites the audience to engage with multiple perspectives through video installations, live illustration, music and storytelling.
